SOCIAL BUTTERFLY

Writing for social media can be extremely challenging. At Brandpoint, social media is a one-person effort (Me!) and it can be difficult creating campaigns, executing on them and then evaluating KPIs/ROI. But I absolutely love figuring out our brand voice and how social media fits in. In my position at Brandpoint, some of my favorite social media copywriting I've done has been surrounding a work from home campaign I did, long form posts that position us as industry leaders and short animated video content that gives our posts a little more life.

Aside from managing social at Brandpoint, I also monitored social media platforms at my Valleyfair internship. We posted daily Instagram stories, keeping them creative, refreshing and fun for followers to interact with. From park facts to upcoming event highlights, the Valleyfair Instagram never looked better! I also wrote and posted Tweets and Facebook posts, used Sprout Social to monitor engagement and to interact with followers, and continuously checked Google Reviews.

Each brand I worked for have extremely different voices, so learning what style of content and copy works best for each brand is a challenge that I love.

VALLEYFAIR TWEETS

While I was constantly writing copy for Twitter and Facebook, one of the highlights for me was coming up with a social media campaign for the Peanuts Celebration event. We gave away Peanuts-themed pins to guests in a scavenger hunt around the park over social media. To encourage park visitors to explore the entire event, we staked out with the pins at different locations and guests would check social media to come and find us. We ended up with quite a few dedicated pin collectors!
